1967 was a good year for buses

1967 was a good year for buses

…and we’ve hired a beauty to take you on a memorable reader’s journey for Wordpool’s Festival Thursday. It’s a 1967 Leyland Titan PD3 in original Blackpool Transport livery. These trusty transport stalwarts were a familiar sight around the Blackpool area until the 1980’s.

Join us for a nostalgic trip back in time as for one day only the Wordpool Rover takes to the road for a reader’s journey unlike any other. Wordpool’s Rover ticket gives you access to all Festival Thursday tickets and includes food and hop-on hop-off transport on our vintage rover bus between library venues!

If you are planning to use the Rover Vintage Bus for travel between venues but have accessibility issues please could you send an email to kari.singleton@blackpool.gov.uk

Events include; Primetime with Ben Aaronovitch & MJ Arlidge, Queens of Noir with Julia Crouch, Sarah Ward and Mandasue Heller, Cream Tea with bestselling contemporary author Susan Lewis, lunch with debut authors Kit De Waal & GX Todd and light refreshment with Alice Broadway.
